Movember

Please see a message from Stu Hunter (aka doctorkillie)] below. Please donate anything you can.

Hi,

As some of the guys already know, I was diagnosed with Prostate Cancer in early August. I am one of the lucky ones as it was picked up in a routine examination. Whilst I have still to be given the all clear, there are far too many men who will not be as fortunate because of ignorance, lack of awareness and the lack of symptoms.

This Movember, the month formerly known as November I’ve decided to donate my face to raising awareness about prostate cancer. My donation and commitment is the growth of a moustache for the entire month of Movember, which I know will generate conversation, controversy and laughter.

Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men. One man dies every hour from the disease in the UK. This is a cause that I feel passionately about and I’m asking you to support my efforts by making a donation to The Prostate Cancer Charity. To help, you can either:

• Click this link http://uk.movember.com/donate/your-details/member_id/615286/ and donate online using your credit card or PayPal account . Or,

• Send cheques and CAF vouchers (made payable to ‘The Prostate Cancer Charity Re Movember’) directly to The Prostate Cancer Charity – First Floor, Cambridge House, Cambridge Grove, London W6 0LE. Be sure to include the person’s name on the back of the cheque.

The Prostate Cancer Charity will use the money raised by Movember for the development of programs related to awareness, public education, advocacy, support of those affected, and research into the prevention, detection, treatment and cure of prostate cancer.
For more details on how the funds raised from previous campaigns have been used and the impact Movember is having please visit http://uk.movemberfoundation.com/research-and-programs.

Thank you in advance for helping me to support men’s health.

Dundee Utd Bus

We all had a cracking day out on Saturday through to Kilmarnock for the St Mirren game. It looks like the team are really starting to gel and Eremenko looks like a cracking find from Mixu.

A big thanks to Kenny for driving us through, it was very much appreciated all round. And it also looks like we may have gained 2 or 3 new members too.

Davy Freeland is organising a bus for the game against Dundee Utd on the 2nd of October. All those interested in going should get in touch with him on 07403430144 or email him on davidfreeland1981@hotmail.com

There will also be 2 discounted tickets available for £16 from David on the bus if anyone wants to take him up on that off. One of those tickets is mine so if you want it then text me on 07977410514 or email andrew_thorne@hotmail.co.uk and we can arrange a meet.

In Mixu We Trust.

Discounted Celtic Tickets Available

There are 3 celtic tickets available for £16 from the supporters club this weekend.  If you are interested in buying one please text or email David Freeland
